In Memory of Amandalee Weiss 1982-2003
Amandalee Weiss’ story is one of a young woman’s courage and determination to help others survive cancer. Before her death from osteogenic sarcoma, a rare bone disease, she became the conceptual founder of the Amandalee Fund. This fund raises money for sarcoma research and ultimately benefits research for other cancers. The Amandalee Fund continues to be a driving force behind finding a cure for cancers that affect adolescents.
- Supports research on molecular cases of cancer, leading to more effective therapies.
- Enhances development of new treatments, brings better drugs to clinical trials at a faster pace.
- Promotes early detection screening, giving cancer patients better chances of survival and extended quality of life.
- Advances the study of genetic profiles of tumors for individual cancer therapy, accelerating the future of cancer treatment.
